Privacy Policy - Price Tracker

🔍 1. Information we collect

Data that we DO store:

Product URLs: The web addresses of products that you choose to track manually
Prices: The prices extracted from those URLs in each check
Timestamps: Date and time of each price check
Anonymous Identifier (UID): An automatically generated code by Firebase to sync your data between devices. This UID is NOT linked to your personal identity
Settings: Your notification preferences and check frequency

Data that we DO NOT collect:

❌ Your complete browsing history
❌ Personal information (name, email, address, phone)
❌ Payment data or credit cards
❌ Third-party cookies unrelated to tracked products
❌ Your activity on pages where you haven't added products

🔥 2. Use of Firebase (Google)

Firebase is mandatory for the extension's functionality and allows:

Storing price history persistently
Syncing your tracked products between devices
Maintaining a historical record to generate price evolution charts

Data sent to Firebase:

Normalized product URLs
Prices and timestamps
Automatically generated anonymous UID (not linked to personal identity)

Firebase Privacy Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

            ⚠️ Important: There is no option to "disable Firebase" because it is essential for the extension's functionality. If you uninstall the extension, you stop sending data.
        

🎯 3. How we use your data

Price tracking: Automatically check prices of your products
Notifications: Alert you when the price drops according to your preferences
Charts: Show you the historical price evolution
Sync: Keep your tracked products accessible on different devices

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties.

🗑️ 4. Data retention and deletion

Local data: Automatically deleted when uninstalling the extension
Firebase data: Persists until you manually delete each product from the extension interface ("Delete" button)
Complete deletion: Uninstalling the extension removes access, but historical data in Firebase persists with your anonymous UID. If you want complete Firebase deletion, contact the email at the end of this policy

🔒 5. Security

We implement basic security measures:

Exclusive HTTPS communication
Firebase API keys restricted by domain
No storage of sensitive credentials
Firestore rules that limit access by authenticated UID

👤 6. Your rights

You can:

View your data: All visible in the extension popup
Delete products: "Delete" button on each product
Stop using the service: Uninstall the extension
Request complete Firebase deletion: Contact the support email

            Note: This extension does NOT require creating an account or providing email, so there is no "personal data export" or "portability" system in the traditional GDPR sense. Your data is anonymous and linked only to a UID.
